Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
1. Information We Collect
a) Account information. Name, business name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you sign up. We also record when you accept our Terms (terms_accepted, terms_version, accepted_at) as legal proof of consent.
b) Payment information. Payments are processed by Square. We receive payment confirmations and transaction records from Square; we do not store your full credit-card numbers.
c) Client Content. Creatives, ad copy, images, videos, and campaign settings you upload or create in the platform.
d) Ad-platform connections. When you connect your advertising accounts (Meta, Google, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), we store the authorization tokens and account identifiers needed to publish and manage campaigns on your behalf, plus campaign performance data returned by those platforms.
e) Usage and device data. Log data, pages visited, features used, IP address, device type, and browser type — used for security, debugging, and improving the platform.
f) Communications. Messages you send to support or enter into the Slingy assistant's "teach" feature, and support correspondence.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the platform (including creating, publishing, and optimizing your campaigns at your direction).
- To process payments and manage subscriptions through Square.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Information
- At your direction: we send your campaign data and creatives to the ad platforms you choose (Meta, Google, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) to run your ads. Those platforms process the data under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers: Square (payments); hosting and infrastructure providers — only as needed to operate the platform, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal: if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if the Company is acquired or merged, your information may transfer as part of the business assets (subject to the promises in this policy).
We do not share your data with data brokers or advertisers other than the ad platforms you authorize.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, security, and remembering preferences. Analytics, if enabled, uses aggregated data to understand feature usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit functionality.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations (including tax and financial records), and resolve disputes. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period except where retention is legally required.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format where technically feasible.
- Opt out of marketing — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
To exercise these rights, email legal@mad-ad-slingers.com from your account email. We will respond within a reasonable time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents: the above rights reflect the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing (we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA).
European/UK users: our lawful bases are contract performance (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement), consent (marketing, cookies), and legal obligation. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
